Well people liked Lac Mac so much, I had to draw my favourite character from the Rayman animated series :D  He really is the most down to earth and relatable character in the show, and I'd say he gets the most development of all the characters.

I'm gonna have to make a set of these aren't I....

He was definitely the best character of the batch, the most interesting personality - and this makes him look about as good as he likely ever will.  :D

Gosh I love Cookie. I mean, you already know that, but I had to say; it's so nice to see fanart of him.

I get kind of mad when people say they wanna replace all the characters from the show with "actual Rayman characters" (as if that'd automatically make the whole thing better, without even touching the corny at best and occasionally shoddy at worst writing). I dunno, it just feels like no one appreciates THESE characters or pays attention to them when they're watching them. I'm probably bias because I like them, particularly Lacmac and Cookie, but still... It's unfair.

But besides that, Cookie here is the main reason I was disappointed to see the show cut off at four episodes. I was interested in seeing how he'd develop further or if we'd learn more about him. I might be overthinking it, it's not really that kind of show. Whatever.

I completely agree!  It's rare to have a character with complex mental hangups that aren't just played as him being the cowardly 'scooby doo' type or the incompetent comic relief.  Cookie is a character with depth and talents, and it would be amazing to find out where he came from, what caused him to end up where he is in the show, how he developed his abilities to bake and fix things, and how he came to have the social anxieties he has now.  He's fascinating, and positive, and the kind of character there needs to be more of.

Cookie has a lot of potential. I always found it interesting how he kind of is that cowardly and whiny character and can be annoying, yet he's also a really important asset of the group with his several talents. The nature of the show doesn't seem like it should allow for the characters to be quite so complex and dramatic, but they definitely could be. If this show was written a bit better and caught on, Cookie would probably make for a good role model. Like, yeah it'd be great to be heroic like Rayman and wanna help people all the time and always be able to pull yourself out of tight spaces right away, but sometimes you can't. Sometimes you're upset or anxious and you just need some time to vent and let out your frustrations and not push yourself to be positive when that's not how you feel. And you can be seen as really needy when you have those negative feelings by people who really don't wanna be bothered by what they perceive as pessimism, but in the end you still have good things about you and you're not just how you feel. That's what Cookie could be for viewers.

Now, given the nature of the show and that Cookie is often the butt monkey in situations, this message of positivity, if it was even intended, doesn't truly come through. But, because Cookie is very talented and we do get to see him being caring toward characters like Lacmac during the show's brief run, he is a step in the right direction. He is quite different than most characters that are usually in his role, and I appreciate that. And because Cookie is such a unique character, though not portrayed perfectly, it makes it all the more painful when other people watching the show kind of glaze over the cast and whine about why Globox or Ly aren't present. Though, given Cookie is probably the most interesting of the bunch, buuut I can probably find something about each of 'em that's special or has the potential to be. I could go on and on about what they could do with Lacmac...

I could not agree more!!!

Cookie is like an Eeyore or 'Grumpy Bear' kind of character.  A character who can be seen as a 'negative' personality, and yet still enjoys friendship and companionship without being forced to change who they are.  A character who's concerns and fears actually add depth and value to a situation rather than just being a joke or a moralising 'I told you so!'.  He's a good conduit to show the value of having a friend like him, someone who isn't perpetually happy but has a lot to give, and while it can be a challenge to be friends with someone like that it doesn't make the friendship less valuable.  If anything it can open your eyes to a new way of seeing the world and solving problems.

And as you say while he does end up the butt of a few jokes I think that strengthens him as a character overall.  No one should be immune to pratfalls in a comedy show, and despite the accidents he gets into he comes out fine in the end.  His nature doesn't change, and he shows that even with all his hangups he can make it through adversity.  He's a positive figure despite his pessimistic outlook XD  It helps that he has friends to support him, and he knows that.  In turn his loyalty is to them despite his complaints.

Alas, we can only speculate on what could have been.  But I love that we've been left this cast of characters to play with and discuss.  We can take them in directions that may have never been thought of and discuss how they comes across to us. It encourages us as fans to THINK, and I love that :D

For some reason I started to see again the Rayman animated series , coincidence? I DON'T THINK SO :XD: hahaha oh man I really love this character  although some people should say that it would be better Ly , Globox , Murfy and the Grand Minimus in some comments from Youtube , but naah This ones are better! New characters means more creativity , is not good to do the same characters over and oveer again ^^; and wow I really love the way you draw without lines ToT  I'm just amazed and very original style! :la:  beautiful job! :huggle:

Cookie is such a cutie, he's the smart guy and a little stuck-up but he only really cares about everyone in the end even if he can come across as self-centered. I'm so sad they only made four episodes of the serie.

That's awesome, gawd, I really wished we'd see him in the newer Rayman games.
