I was inspired...and how can you not with a copy of My neighbour Totoro and Nausicaa DVD's sitting on your shelf?
My mum always notes that Miyazaki likes his monsters to be the most gloopy, rotting and stomach turning, and in some cases this is true. but then you have the fluffy Totoro or the downright adorable Kodama, not all his monsters are scary I wonder if anyone can guess the names of all the beasts featured in this pic? There are 15 different species in all (not including the Sootspreaders/dustmites). Nausicaa of the Valley of the wind (3) My Neighbour Totoro (3) Laputa castle in the sky (1) Kiki's Delivery Service (1) Princess Mononoke (3) Spirited Away (2) Howls Moving Castle (2) Note: the Sootspreaders/Dustmites have not been included because they appear in more than one film Why isn't this coloured? Because I was hoping that I'm so pround of the composition of this pic, normally my group pictures SUCK ASS....but what can I say, Miyazaki has that magical effect on people EDIT: Coloured version by me can be found here: [link] |
