For all their tantrums and mistakes children deserve the respect and love and basic rights that every adult has. In the words of Unicef, children have the right to life, to be safe and happy, and to recieve medical and educational support as and when they need it. Sadly there are many children who don't get these basic rights, even in the wealthy parts of the world.
And maybe like me you watch shows like Children in Need and Comic Relief and see children suffering and it makes you determined to help in some way. But if your main skill is art-based and you're not Charles Saatchi or some other multi-million selling artist/gallery owner then what can one artist do?
That's where Draw the World Together comes in.
A collection of artists comming together and using their skills to raise money for children who don't have the oppotunities we have. We may not all be Bill Gates or Bono, but we CAN do things to help those in need by drawing and creating artwork, or even just buying art from others who then donate the proceeds to those who need it. At the same time you promote your work, make others happy through your work, and network with artists all over the world.
So if you want to use your drawing powers for great things (who wouldn't?) then why not use this stamp in your journal to show your support? Or better yes, use this stamp to show your support AND join the club! ~DrawTheWorldTogether - pretty simple huh?
The DTWT logo comes courtesy of DTWT's site and =thedreamwolf, I didn't draw it and take no credit for it
Thank you!
